Ian Stratton
Somatic coach · group facilitator · ianstratton.me
I'm moving from Santa Cruz to the Berkeley hills to spread my wings — looking for a home with good light, good people nearby, and room to work and grow. Moving September 2026.
Who I am
By trade I'm a somatic coach — breathwork, parts work, guided journeys. In practice: I sit with people while they feel things, and discover their best self — I genuinely love it.
Bonus of my profession: it requires me to know and own my shadows — and to communicate clearly in any situation.
Daily me: up early, sunlight and cold water, real cooking, a lot of dancing, asleep at a reasonable hour. I pay rent early, fix what I break, say the hard thing kindly, and leave every kitchen warmer than I found it. My sweet pup Huji supervises.
What I'm looking for
- The shape — this works two ways: solo, I'm after a room in a community home or a studio. My good friend Rafa is also house-hunting — so if what's out there is a 2-bedroom, we'd happily take it together.
- Where: the Berkeley hills (and nearby pockets with trees and quiet)
- When: ready to move in as soon as September 2026
- Budget: $1,500–2,500/mo · up to $3,000 for a place with a dedicated office
- Non-negotiable: dog-friendly — I have a well-trained, adorable, uber-friendly Duck Tolling Retriever (Huji)
- Huge bonus: a quiet room or office where I can take client calls and/or do somatic sessions in person
